    Candidates wishing to undertake the BRESO certification programme shall complete a application form with their personal information including details of the breast unit(s) they plan to visit. 

    In addition to the application form, candidates should provide the following in pdf format:

    • 2-page Curriculum vitae
    • Board certification in general surgery or gynecology in their country* 
    • Letter of interest from the candidate regarding breast cancer training and academic interests
    • Letter(s) of recommendation from the candidate's Head of Department and/or mentor
    • License to practice as a general surgeon, and/org gynecologists in the country where the training fellowship will take place
    • Documentary proof of identification such as a passport or National identity card

    *Graduates from medical schools outside the E.U. must have a valid medical license in an E.U. country

    The above evidence should be sent to the BRESO Secretariat.

    Selection will be made upon:

    • Academic excellence
    • Interest in breast cancer
    • Letters of recommendation

    The candidates will be notified by e-mail if they are eligible. If their application is approved, the candidates will have two years to complete the certification programme

    At the end of the training period, once all the requirements have been fulfilled, the candidates will complete their application with the relevant additional information and documentation acknowledging the completion of the certification programme.

    An administration fee of 350 EUR is payable in two installments: 150 EUR at the start of the training and 200 EUR upon completion of the training.

    Following completion of the certification programme, successful candidates will receive a signed BRESO certificate. Their name will be added to the list of BRESO certified breast surgeons on the BRESO website.
